  • No! No! No! Why does Hollywood insist upon making remakes of classic movies and TV shows? Hardly anyone ever likes them. There are so many new books and stories out there every year - pick one of them, put in some awesome actors and actresses, and make it into a new classic.

  • Good points. I also think too many parents these days want to be "friends" with their children, buddying around with them, hanging around with them and their friends, all doing the same things, in an effort to be "cool" and not be the meanie by enforcing the rules.

  • And a spanking now and then won't hurt anything! Those of us raised in the 60s know the power of that. There's too much coddling and giving in these days - how do you think we got in this mess in the first place? Everyone stopped disciplining!

  • Finally, something is being done about this. One of my kids, born in the 80s, had beautiful white spotty teeth by the time he was 10, and the doctor and dentist could never figure out why (my other two didn't have it).
